SUBMITTED by Dani Salerno, Pioneer Gas Engine Association (21-May-2009)

Pioneer Gas Engine Association will be holding it’s 45th Annual Reunion Show on July 24-25th 2009 at The Marion Town Park in Marion, NY on Main St., right off Route 21 (follow signs from Route 21). This year’s show will feature displays and demonstrations of antique gas engines, tractors, steam engines, farm equipment and more. Come see how “old iron” was used over 70 years ago!

There will be Cakewalks held everyday throughout the weekend, blacksmith, stonecrushing, dynometer, parades, and flea markets. Refreshments will be provided and sold on the grounds, thanks to The Round Boys Catering Company. There will also be a Fried dough, homemade potato chip & ice cream vendor, in addition to Raffles and souvenirs for sale.

An antique tractor pull will be held on Friday (24th) at 6:00pm and on Saturday (25th) a dead weight pull at 11:00am and a regular pull at 5:00pm.

The Children’s pedal tractor pull is Saturday at 11:00am.

Admission is $2.00 per person or a 2009 membership, & Children under 12 are free. Memberships are available for $4.00 each or $6.00 for family. Flea market and Camping spaces are available for the cost of memberships and $5.00 a spot for flea marketers and non-exhibitors. If you plan on bringing an exhibit, you may set up on Thursday July 23rd after 11:00AM. Clean up day is Sunday July 26. All exhibits and campers must be off park grounds by 1:00pm on Sunday.
