“Bringing Up Baby” to be Shown at the Lyons Public Library

The Lyons Public Library will be showing its third film in the Screwball Comedy Film Series on Sat., Feb. 6 at 2 p.m. in the Community Room. Starring Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant, the film “Bringing Up Baby” showcases the two stars comedic talents.

Grant is a paleontologist looking for a particular bone for his dinosaur skeleton but he also needs a million dollars from a wealthy donor for his ongoing research. He ends up meeting with Hepburn, who unknown to him, is the niece of the wealthy donor, at a golf course where things start to go wrong.

The “Baby” referred to in the title is a leopard that Hepburn’s brother sent to her to give to their aunt. This is a delightful comedy with fun for the whole family. Hot chocolate and popcorn will be served. A short discussion will follow the film. For more information call the Library at (315) 946-9262 or email at lyonslibrary@owwl.org.
