The Lyons Community Center announced that they will be hosting an exhilirating "Golden Gloves" Tournament February 19th & 20th. This first annual boxing exhibition is sure to be a skillful demonstration of hard work, perserverance and strength amongst its fighters.

What is Golden Gloves? "It's the most prestigious amateur boxing", says Don Patterson, ring leader for the Buffalo Golden Gloves. Its program beginning with its first tournament in 1923 has been a centripetal force in providing a great opportunity for young boys to build character and confidence. Some of the most famous Golden Gloves champions are Muhammed Ali, Sugar Ray Leanord, Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson and Oscar De La Hoya.

This event will be held over two days, Friday and Saturday. A range of boxers will perform up to 15 bouts per day. The cost of a general admission ticket is $10 for one night or $15 for a full weekend pass.

The Golden Gloves will have t-shirts available, while the Lyons Community Center will have an open concession stand with various other activities prior to and during the event. Businesses may also sponsor a table for up to ten guests. Further sponsorship information will be forthcoming.

Centripetal force? I think someone needs a dictionary.

The word "centripetal" works here--think of centripetal force as "driving" force.

1st adjective definition on Dictionary.com should qualify the use of the word in question.

Looks to be an exciting event at the Lyons Community Center!

why don't you come out for an evening of fun, then you can critique the event instead of the word choice used to promote the event!

Ah Ha Ha, wazamatter Anonymous? Tried to be a smart ass and showed your ignorance...lol. Dumbass. if you knew Don Patterson, and the men who run this tournament, you would realize they are well aware of their choice of words and if you read a word you don't understand, look it up in the dictionary before putting your foot in your mouth.
