SUBMITTED by Linda Kingsley, Everybody Rides Family Council (21-Feb-2010)

A Fund-Raising Spaghetti dinner for the Everybody Rides Family Council will be held by the Palmyra Moose Riders 1420 at the Palmyra Moose Lodge, 3808 Rt. 31, Palmyra on Saturday, 27 February 2010 from 5-7 PM. There will also be dessert, door prizes and a raffle. Tickets are only $6 each, and will be available at the door, or can be purchased in advance at the Moose Lodge.

The Everybody Rides Family Council, Inc., a non-profit group supporting therapeutic horseback riding in Wayne County, is developing a scholarship program for disabled children and adults who need financial assistance in order to participate in therapeutic horseback riding. The ERFC is also working hard to resurrect the Everybody Rides Therapeutic Riding Center, which was closed by the FLDDSO December 31, 2009. The many benefits of therapeutic riding are enjoyed by a wide spectrum of folks with special needs, and the ERFC would like to make this effective therapy available to as many people with special needs as possible!

The Palmyra Moose Riders 1420 are a group of motorcycle enthusiasts, associated with Moose International, that support charitable groups that primarily benefits children's charities. The group of over 80 members is the first Moose Rider group formed in New York State, although there are chapters all over the US. They host an annual poker run in June, in memory of fallen brothers and sisters, that benefits the Make A Wish Foundation of Western New York, the NYS Moose Scholarship Fund and several other children's charities. They have also donated to many local charities, including the local food pantries, veteran's groups and the Palmyra Community Center.

Please join the ERFC and the Moose Riders to help provide this important therapy to our disabled population! For more information, call Linda at 315-986-9674.
