Mural on the Savannah Bank, Main St., Savannah

The Savannah mural is the latest mural to painted under the highly success program called Mural Mania. The Savannah mural was completely painted with volunteers from the area and members of the Wayne County Council for the Arts. Donations were also received from Secor Lumber, the Savannah Bank, The Savannah Chamber of Commerce and Golden Paints.

With the Savannah mural “Mural Mania” now has 70 Miles of murals in every community from Syracuse to Palmyra, which is the longest mural trail in the world. This mural trail has over 25 murals within 70 miles, most of which celebrate the great history of the Erie Canal. On 19 May 2010 Mural Mania received an honorable mention for the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor Heritage Award of Excellence.

The Savannah mural features early Savannah 1672, the muck land of Savannah, and a panel for the Montezuma Audubon Center. This mural has over 20 birds and natural beauty for viewers to see.
