NEWARK (Sep 23 10) – It took the Lady Reds three games to get a win this afternoon against Midlakes, losing the first two games, 16-25 and 19-25, finally fighting back in the third set to get a 25-22 win. Midlakes finished the match with a 25-19 triumph.
Allison Miller led Newark with eight kills and Lindsey McEvoy served five aces.
The Lady Reds are 2-6 overall (2-4 in the league).

Alfred University freshman safety DavidLee Tack made a tackle on a fourth-quarter kickoff Saturday as the Saxons beat St. Lawrence University, 24-16. Alfred is ranked 22nd nationally in Division III football.
