The Lyons Public Library, at 122 Broad Street in Lyons, will offer a series of three computer classes designed for job seekers. The first class, “Beginning Computers” will take place on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. This class is designed for people who know little or nothing at all about computers and need to gain basic computer skills for their job search.

The second class, “Beginning Email” will be held on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 10 a.m.
Many online job sites now require those applying for jobs to have email addresses. This class is will help job seekers establish an email account and learn how to send and receive email as well as how to do attachments like a resume.

The third class, “Writing a Basic Resume” is scheduled for Saturday, March 12 at 10 a.m.
Job seekers will learn how to write a basic resume using Microsoft Word. Class participants will then be able to save the resume on a cd or flash drive for future use.

All of the classes are free and will take place in the library’s computer lab. Registration is required and each class is limited to 10 people. For more information, please call the Lyons Public Library at (315) 946-9262 or email lyonslibrary@owwl.org.
