| Sal the Pirate |
Sal, Palmyra’s Friendly Pirate, and the Pirates of the Erie Canal wish to express their appreciation to the merchants of Palmyra and its nearby canal villages for their support of the Pirates Ball on Saturday, March 19, 2011. The Ball, held at the Palmyra VFW’s beautiful new site on Route 31, was a fundraiser to bring the Pirates back to Palmyra on August 5 and 6 for the annual Pirates Weekend Festival, an all family celebration. Music by Paul Hamilton, a guest appearance by the Towpath Volunteers, and a world class silent auction in a beautiful site made for a delightful evening. It could not have happened without the support of the community. Thank you.
