The Newark Pilots return home for a three-game home stand this upcoming Fourth of July weekend, sponsored by Big Dog Country 103.5 FM and Lyons National Bank. The celebration kicks of Thursday and ends with a fireworks show Saturday night.

On Thursday, June 30, the Amsterdam Mohawks travel to Newark for the final game of their recent three-game series. Drink specials will be available throughout the night as part of the first "Thirsty Thursday" of the season. Thursday is also the next game on the Pilots' Internet Group Special. Groups of four or more receive half off the price of general admission tickets. Print out the coupon on www.newarkpilots.com and present it to the ticket booth to receive $2 tickets. Gates open at 6 p.m.

On Friday, July 1, the Pilots face the Watertown Wizards. The first 200 fans of all ages to arrive at the ballpark will receive a free Newark Pilots plastic cup, courtesy of Big Dog Country 103.5 FM. Gates also open at 6 p.m.

Saturday, July 2 is the Pilots' Fourth of July spectacular. Before the game, fans will be entertained with rock n' roll classics from the 50's, 60's and 70's performed by Papa and Mama Root. The duo will begin playing when gates open at 6:30 p.m. Following the action on the field, be sure to stick around for an exciting fireworks show, sponsored by Lyons National Bank.

Tickets for this weekend's games and all Newark Pilots' home games can be purchased in advanced at the Newark Wegmans. Remember, fans who are unable to attend any game at Colburn Park can hear all the action live on 1420wack.com.
