The word is spreading--America needs skilled people with training beyond high school but not necessarily college. These Middle Level Skills Jobs are in demand, and local employers are having a hard time getting qualified candidates (SUNY Chancellor's address at InfoTonics, 5/24/2011).
Machinists are needed, yet people view this trade as "junior varsity." Not true! BOCES would like to help adults gain these middle level skills job skills. We are not-for-profit. We need to cover our costs. Come see us on June 7 at 5:00 PM at the tech center. Food, tours, low pressure, meet the teachers, meet me. 332-7317 to reserve a spot.
