GrandSlam Day Awards Ceremony Slated for August 27
A fitting end to a great derby will be celebrated on Saturday, 27 August 2011 in Sodus Point at the Fire Hall from 11am to 1pm. This is the thirteenth annual GrandSlam Day hosted by the Wayne County Derby Committee and the Wayne County Federation of Sportsmen.
“We plan to have raffles along with prizes and food.” stated Chris Kenyon, Outdoor Recreation Promotional Coordinator for Wayne County. The Awards Ceremony recognizes youngsters ages 4-16 who have participated in the Youth Derby.
The GrandSlam and Merchants Challenge Youth Derby began on May 3 and concluded on August 17. The public is welcome to attend, the more the merrier!
