Lakeside Business Community Open House / Charity Event A Great Success!
On July 28, 2011 10 business owners on Lakeside Road at the comer of Route 104 in Ontario, NY hosted an open house and collected donations for the Ontario Food Pantry from 5-8 pm.

The following 10 business participated in the event; Chamberlain Septic Service, Beh Excavating Contractors, Shadow Hill Landscape, Inc., Gabriel's Collision, Wilberts Lakeside LLC, Lakeside Quality Building Products, Lakeside Restaurant, Cobra Motorhomes and Trailers Inc., All Occasion Porta-Potties and Steve Shortt Excavating.
Our "Food for Food" initiative was a great success. Visitors brought a non-perishable donation for the Ontario Food Pantry and received free food in return. Visitors enjoyed hamburgers, hotdogs, salads and drinks donated by Lakeside Restaurant. The event raised 785 food items and $135.00 in cash for the food pantry.
A shuttle bus was provided to shuttling people from business to business throughout the evening. Each business had staff members and business owners available to give tours and answer questions about their business.
Visitors enjoyed equipment demonstrations, free food, giveaways and raffles and live music by the band Black Ice.
Rick Wilbert, owner of Wilberts Lakeside commented, "It was great working with such a nice group of business owners. The reward of such a large turn out of both food and people made our open house all worthwhile. We also appreciate the many Town Officials who turned out to support our cause for the Ontario Food Pantry."Many of the business owners commented that they look forward to an even bigger event next year.
