Beginning on October 1, 2011, Long Acre Farms will be auctioning off pumpkins painted by local artists. The pumpkins for auction will be on display throughout the week of October 1st through October 8th.
The Pumpkin Auction will be open for bidding through October 8th at 6pm. A peek at the pumpkins that have arrived at the farm already are up on the Long Acre Farms Facebook Page: http://www.facebook.com/longacrefarms.
The pumpkin auction will be accompanied by the sale of homegrown pumpkins painted by local high school art programs. The sale begins October 1st and will continue until all the pumpkins are sold.
Proceeds from both the pumpkin auction and the pumpkin sale will benefit the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Long Acre Farms will be open regular fall hours the week of October 1st through 8th with their annual Pumpkin Harvest Festivals on Saturdays and Sundays. Visitors can find the painted pumpkin display near the Farm Market and Ice Cream Shop.
