SUBMITTED by John O'Brien (15-Mar-2012)

On March 23rd, 24th, and 25th, from 9 to 5 each day, The Good Old Days will be hosting their 11th annual Spring Open House. To the Good Old Days and their many customers, this is an important event as it is the beginning of the OPEN season. The Spring Open House is one of their largest events.
The shop is re-opened with Spring everywhere, Easter decor, Florals, and several exciting new items that the O'Brien's have been on the look for since they closed for the season Dec 30th. While everybody thinks they sneak  off to warmer climates and bask in the sun, they are actually in the Shop most of that time redecorating and pricing all their new inventory. Barb & John O'Brien, proprietors, travel to 4 or 5 buying shows to find merchandise to re-open with. In addition, John works hard at finding the antiques that blend in so well with the country and early American decor that shop has. So when the shop opens in a few days, it will look like a brand new shop with new furniture, accessories, and home decor.
It seems many people just are not aware of what is inside this shop, and drive by saying to themselves "I should stop there one of these days and take a look." Well this Spring Open House is just the excuse you need. There will be free fresh baked goods, a grand prize drawing, free gift with your purchase, and just about anything you need to decorate your home from pictures on the walls to upholstered furniture, from lovely scented candles to soft accent lighting, and everything from A to Z to make you feel warm and good inside, just like it was in the "Good Old Days"

After the Open House, the Good Old Days will be open every day. Mondays thru Friday from 11 to 5, Saturdays from 10 to 5, and Sundays from 12 to 5. You can find more information and loads of photos on their website and their Facebook page at:
