The third annual Kids’ Karnival and Soccer Clinic in the Town of Marion Park will take place on Wednesday, June 13, 2011 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM. This free health celebration includes information, giveaways, and games that focus on health and physical activities for children and families. There is a raffle with prize drawings for attending and learning about health resources and services in Wayne County. The soccer clinic will be conducted in Spanish and English and provided by Rochester Rhinos professional soccer team members. Pre-registration is required for the soccer clinic and starts on Monday, May 21. Please call (315)483-3200 to register for this free soccer clinic. The Town of Marion Park is located at4072 Park Drive, Marion, NY, directly behind the Highway Department, just off of State Route 21.
The second annual Family Fun Walk will also occur. For the first 20 families who pre-register for the walk and complete the perimeter path around the Town of Marion Park (less than ¾ mile), Wayne County Rural Health Network will give each of those 20 families a $25 Wal-Mart gift card. Others who walk will get water bottles and other incentives. The purpose is to encourage exercise and to celebrate the fun families can have when they are physically active together. There is a limit of one registration per family and a family must include at least three people, one of whom is an adult. To register for the Family Fun Walk, call (315)483-3200.

Also featured is a free bounce house for children to enjoy, along with other games and activities. Parents and children can look forward to a day of fun, games and information --- all easily accessible at the Town of Marion Park.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office will be there with its child identification program. Wayne County Public Health will be giving away bike helmets and other items. Other health and family agencies also will be providing information and giveaways.
