Music makes the world a better place and Wayne County has a huge choice of music genre for all tastes and the whole family. Most of the concerts are free to the public and will make your summer just a little bit “better."

Summer of Roses Event Series – Every Thursday evening. Each week will feature a different performer from the area. Free! 7 pm to 8 pm, Rose Union Community Building, School Street, Rose. June 14, 21, 28, July 12, 19, 26, and August 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
  • June 21 Music of the 60’s
Sodus Bay Lighthouse Free Sunday Summer Concert Series – The afternoon concerts are presented at the Lighthouse Gazebo with lawn seating in the village park adjacent to the Museum. The Concerts are free but please bring your own seating. The Sodus Bay Lighthouse Museum is located at 7606 N. Ontario Street in Sodus Point. www.soduspointlighthouse.org
  • July 4- Gap Mangione Big Band... A holiday tradition! (2-4 pm). Swing and Jazz Music led by a Regional (and Local) Favorite!
  • July 8- Finger Lakes Symphony (2-4 pm) Pops music featuring Old favorites, Light Classics, Patriotic, and Broadway Show tunes.
  • July 15- Fairport Fireman’s Band (2-4 pm)
  • July 22- Ice Cream Social and The Dady Brothers (1-4 pm) Sundaes start a relaxing afternoon with Country, Folk, Irish and Bluegrass musical styles.
  • July 29- Dan Elliott and the Monterays (2-4 pm) Rock & Roll music that sure to bring back nostalgic memories by CNY’s top R&R oldies band since 1963.
  • August 5- Bristol Mountain Bluegrass (2-4 pm)
  • August 12- 78 RPM Big Band (2-4 pm)
  • August 19- Pan Loco Steel Drum Band (2-4 pm) Versatile Steel Drum Band playing traditional island music plus Jazz, Calypso, and Soca.
  • August 26- Fiddlers of the Genesee (2-4 pm) A wide variety of Good Old Time Fiddle Music
Firefly Concert Series at the Patio Stage – Free musical concerts take place on the lawn of the Williamson Public library (rain or shine). Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy! The library is located at 6380 Route 21, Williamson. (7-8 pm)

Village of Lyons Band Concerts – Free summer concerts take place in the village central park, across from the courthouse. Bring a lawn chair and relax to the music. 7 pm

Shade Grown Coffee House and Open Mic Night – The Montezuma Audubon Center hosts a coffee house / open mic featuring local music and talent. Come relax and enjoy the music or sign up to perform. Music of the 60’s by Canaltown Chorale – The Palmyra VFW is hosting Music of the 60’s June 3rd 4pm to 5:30 pm. Songs include Scarborough Fair / Sound of Silence, Beatles songs, Kum Ba Yah, This Land is Your Land, Puff the Magic Dragon, Bridge Over Troubled Water, etc. Performed by chorale and accompanied by keyboard and guitar. The Palmyra VFW is Located at State Route 31 E, Palmyra (Suggested donation of $5).

Blue Ridge Concert and Wine / Cheese Tasting and Ice Cream Social – Blue Ridge Country Ramblers will perform, July 28th10am to 4pm Heritage Square, 7147 Ontario Center Road, Ontario. For more details go to www.heritagesquaremuseum.org

Brantling Bluegrass Festival – The 4th Annual Brantling Bluegrass Festival will be held August 2-4 at Brantling Ski Slopes. Enjoy three days of great bluegrass music. Brantling Ski Slope is located at 4015 Fish Farm Road, Sodus. www.brantling.com

Central New York Wine & Jazz Fest – Wine tasting on Main Street in the Village of Wolcott and music by well-known jazz artists at the band stand in Northup Park on August 4th. Vendors in the park. www.wolcottlionsclub.com

Jammin’ with the Animals – The 7th Annual Music Festival at Cracker Box Palace takes place August 25th from noon ‘til the cows come home! Bands, food, and fun all afternoon and evening, featuring Nashville recoding artist Wells Hallow, Soul Shakers, Sinzibukwud and many others that are long-time favorites! Bring your own lawn chair; picnics and coolers are welcome but please no glass. Admission is a donation of cash or an item from the Cracker Box Palace Wish list which can be found at www.crackerboxpalace.org. Cracker Box Palace is located at 6450 Shaker Road, Alton.
