STORY BY: STEPHANIE KNARR

Lyons' very own historic theatre will be celebrating tomorrow as it turns another year older. Ohmann Theatre opened for business December 6, 1915.

In celebration of its anniversary, the theatre will be hosting a special presentation of Gone with Wind in a specially produced digital format! (See showtimes below)

Also, Ron and Nancy OneSong will present their annual Christmas Show on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. This country western duo will perform their holiday favorites by some of country's all-time stars from days passed.
Ohmann Theatre, a staple to Lyons' downtown, is America's oldest live stage and theatre. Originally built by Burt Ohmann in 1915, this venue was the home to vaudeville shows, live music and silent films. Its first movie "Vanity Fair" was a silent film with piano accompaniment.

During the 1930's, Burt's sons, Robert and Myron, managed the quaint theatre until the late 1980's. The building then lay dormant for many years until it was purchased by Bob Ohmann. Mr. Ohmann, now the third generation owner, then restored the theatre to its present day historic charm.

Though historic in nature, this theatre is not meant to be compared with any other. It has state-of-the-art sound along with picture perfect resolution due to a new digital projection system installed this year. This building boasts of stability and endurance through-out the many years of change. As most would simply close its doors on a dream that used to be, Ohmann has made this little building the best that it can be.

Come join the staff at Ohmann Theatre this weekend to celebrate its 98th birthday!
