HOMESPUN - Chapter 22 LOVE WILL SHOW THE WAY Love has a way of entering when we least expect it. In many ways we determine in our families, and sometimes when we aren't even thinking about it, love comes in to heal the broken hearts. It is here where we must stay in order to determine the healings of our choice. Yesterday I watched the movie, "Les Miserable." Like a child of many factorings I found myself deeply responsive to this movie. Tears from the depth of my spirit fell, and I became one with all of the people involved. The ending was a complete surprise, and such a welcome relief from all that had gone before it. As I realized that at many levels in my own personal life I had faced some of the same destructive images of the past, I then knew without a shadow of a doubt that the durational flow of my own tears reflected these deeply embedded images of the Soul. The older I get the more I welcome the power of love. In many ways it surrounds us, and although there may be periods in one's life where the land seems barren of love, it is my prayer for all of you that you will begin to reach out and express openly the good in your heart. By so doing, you will set up the law of attraction, opening many new doors of opportunity for you and all you dare to believe as possible. Personally, I have "walked in many shoes." The older I get, the more I have realized the benefits of these experiences. When they were actually happening, sometimes my heart was broken and I thought "never again will I find the solace of a place of blessed peace." One step at a time I began to realize the benefit of a life filled with the declarative force of finding happiness wherever I was. Instead of looking elsewhere for the pieces of joy which make up the whole, I learned to recognize in sometimes tiny ways their imprints upon my life. "They were there all the time - standing patiently in line" and the more I learned to pay close attention, the more joy I found in my every day world. As I come into my own as a Visionary and Prophet of Peace, I have gained admission to places that I would never had dared go at other points in time. The serene places in-between the lines express openly their need for celebrating and every day the world shines brighter because I have chosen this path. Nature has a way of defining her own purposeful direction, and the closer I stay focused upon her blessings, the dearer and more meaningful are the reflections of my day. I am not saying that all is always perfect each and every day. I am saying that the harmonious components of a life well-lived, daily recognizing the small things continue to benefit me greatly. Today I celebrate my dear family, my many precious friends and the value of a day spent paying the bills, doing the wash, and picnicking in the Macedon Canal Park with my husband, children and their children and all of us just fishing and enjoying good food and one another's company. How blessed can one be? I seem to have lost count of those blessings. If these words of hope touch your life just a wee bit, I would be blessed to know that this happened, If your Light shines brighter because you have been reminded of someone else's truth, I am grateful. But just for today I am discerning that we live in a world of possibilities, and the granting of good things is open for all to claim. God didn't create this earth to waste. Open your eyes, and you might see the majesty prepared for all of us. Start by visiting the many trails we are so blessed to have. Along the pathways treasures are waiting to be found. The Butterfly & Nature Trail in Macedon Canal Park @ Lock #30 is a precious place to start claiming your own state of joy. Daily we are seeing growth there, and daily the world becomes brighter because of this little haven in the middle of Macedon Village. In the past few weeks we saw a young bluebird sitting happily upon our welcome sign. There is a tree cut short in the middle of many others, and as we sat and ate or lunch in our truck the image of Jegonseswe - Our Lady of the Woods, came to me. To have seen this blessing goes beyond words because I know that many tribes have considered her as their Peace Queen. By sharing this blessing, others have also been able to see her and we are just beginning to expand upon her promises. Didn't I tell you that Love will show the way? Looks like Love is just getting started! In peace, Carol Elaine Deys, Para-Deys Acres' Serenity Chapel - a place of blessed peace

  1. Videomark Said,

    Thoreau's Journal: 23-Aug-1853

Live in each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each. Let them be your only diet drink and botanical medicines. In August live on berries, not dried meats and pemmican, as if you were on shipboard making your way through a waste ocean, or in a northern desert. Be blown on by all the winds. Open all your pores and bathe in all the tides of Nature, in all her streams and oceans, at all seasons. Miasma and infection are from within, not without. The invalid, brought to the brink of the grave by an unnatural life, instead of imbibing only the great influence that Nature is, drinks only the tea made of a particular herb, while he still continues his unnatural life,—saves at the spile and wastes at the bung. He does not love Nature or his life, and so sickens and dies, and no doctor can cure him. Grow green with spring, yellow and ripe with autumn. Drink of each seasons influence as a vial, a true panacea of all remedies mixed for your especial use. The vials of summer never made a man sick, but those which he stored in his cellar. Drink the wines, not of your bottling, but of Nature’s bottling; not kept in goat-skins or pig-skins, but the skins of a myriad fair berries. Let nature do your bottling and your pickling and preserving. For all Nature is doing her best each moment to make us well. She exists for no other end. Do not resist her. With the least inclination to be well, we should not be sick. Men have discovered—or think they have discovered—the salutariness of a few wild things only, and not of all nature. Why, “nature” is but another name for health, and the seasons are but different states of health. Some men think that they are not well in spring, or summer, or autumn, or winter; it is only because they are not well in them.
