On Saturday, March 15th, the Town of Williamson will recognize Chester A. Peters, retiring Town Historian for his nearly half-century of dedication to the preservation and documentation of local history. Appointed in 1965 as Town Historian by the NYS Department of Education Division of Archives and History. Peters announced his retirement effective December 31, 2013 at 94 years young. All are invited to attend a reception in his honor from 2-4 pm at the Williamson Town Hall on Saturday, March 15th with a special presentation beginning at 2:30 p.m..
