Feb 6 – Sally Valentine Steinmiller: On Saturday, February 6, at 2:00 PM, Sally Valentine Steinmiller at Books, ETC. Sally will present her new book, What Stinks? An Adventure in Highland Park. This is the third novel in her Rochester series for children in grades 4-6. It has the same characters as The Ghost of the Charlotte Lighthouse and Theft at George Eastman House. This time Mrs. Levine and her students have been invited to sing at the Lilac Festival in Highland Park. A feud between best friends, Janie and Jeanetta, spills over into the classroom, and a well-planned field trip ends in chaos as an unexpected visitor shows up. Meanwhile the students’ benefactress, Granny Rob, uses some White Lilacs Perfume to set in motion a nursing home romance. Sally is a native Rochesterian and has lived in Walworth for 30 years.
