The Jack Blodgett Memorial Blood Drive is set for Saturday, November 26, 2016 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 400 South Main Street, Newark. The hours are 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 P.M.
This blood drive is sponsored by the Newark Rotary Club in honor of the late John "Jack" Blodgett of Newark who died 10 years ago, April 20, 2016. Jack came to Newark in 1969 with his family and was in the insurance business as a Certified Life Underwriter.
Active in his community, he was Past President of the Newark Rotary Club (1979-1980) and a Paul Harris Fellow, Chairman of the Newark-Wayne Hospital Board, and Vice President of the hospital foundation. Jack was very active in the Park Presbyterian Church.
