First Presbyterian Church 200th Anniversary
The Williamson-Pultneyville Historical Society will travel to the First Presbyterian Church, 4057 W. Main St., Williamson, for its May 3 meeting. At 7 PM the program will begin with a power-point presentation prepared to celebrate the church's 200th anniversary in 2016. Following that will be a tour of the church and refreshments. As always the public is invited.
Re-enactment of the June 7, 1911 meeting of the Wayne County Women's Suffrage Association
The theme of the June 7th program will be a celebration of Women's Suffrage in Williamson. Attendees are asked to meet in front of Cole's Income Tax Service (Route 21 and Main Street), Williamson at 6:30 PM. We will march to the Williamson Methodist Church. Bring suffrage posters and flags to carry in the parade. The 7:00 PM program at the church will be a reenactment of the June 7, 1911 meeting of the Wayne County Women's Suffrage Association actually held at the Methodist Church. Public is invited!!
Come and join the fun as we celebrate women's right to vote. Refreshments will be served at this meeting which is open to the public.
