Lyons Middle School Production Goes Up on the Ohmann Stage

The Lyons Middle School in conjunction with the Lyons Community Players will bring their most recent production to the Ohmann Theatre stage in Lyons 11-13 December 2009.

The show, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is directed by Jean Stoep & Larry Ann Evans with musical accompaniment by Mark Wlodarczyk.

The story, based on the beloved classic by Barbara Robinson revolves about six very unruly children, the Herdamans who teach a whole church about the true meaning of the birth of Christ.

“The show is lovely,” said Evans who went on to say that the kids work very hard to put on this show in 6 weeks, “just like community theatre!” said Evans.

"We also have previous years cast members helping as apprentices and assistant directors," said Stoep, "Like Richelle and Garrett Coons, Alexis Smith and Michelle Conaway."

The cast includes Mother & Father played by Alexandra Marr and Tyler McCann respectively, their daughter Beth (Megan Galbraith) and son (Duncan Dobbins) and Beth’s best friend Alice (Jessica Norris). The Herdmans are played by Emily Gifford, Alex Calvo, Alivia Arliss, Michaela Schaffer, Hunter Victorious and Cheyenne Humby. The church ladies are played by Meghan Johns, Emily Snyder, Cheyenne Humby, and Anne Galbraith. The characters are rounded out by Maxine (Alyssa Wlodarczyk), Elmer (Kyle Alexanian), Hobie (Joseph Spencer), David (Jacob Gifford), Shirley (Paige Boor), Juanita (Hallie Albrecht), Reverend Hopkins (Michael White), the firemen (Kayla Webb & Meghan Johns) and the Angel Choir (Kayla Murrell, Alexis Welch, and Shelly Reynard)
