Statewide Cleanup Activities Planned along New York State Canal System

Please join Trail Works, Inc. for a clean-up work session on 17 April 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until noon along the historic Enlarged Erie Canalway Trail in Galen.

Bring your pruners and loppers, wear your work gloves, sturdy shoes and thorn-proof clothing.

More than 80 communities, trail groups, and businesses across the New York State Canal System are also participating in the Canal Clean Sweep by hosting local clean up activities in Canal parks, along public promenades and on Canalway Trail segments in their region.

  1. Seth C. Burgess Said,

Some thorny work today--and necessary! What a great spot to hike, ski, or enjoy history & nature along the "2nd Erie Canal".
