Photo Shoot Dates for WCHS 2011 Military Calendar

The Wayne County Historical Society has set the dates and times for the photo shoot for their Military Calendar. Mike Mulberry of Natural Inspirations Studio from Sodus and Denise Eaton from Photos by Denise from Lyons are the two photographers attached to the project. Mulberry will doing the photography of the military personnel at the different locations and Eaton will be taking pictures of the monuments and other military related artifacts in the county. The pictures involving military personnel and veterans will be taken throughout the county at one location in each town. Sodus, Galen, Lyons, and Arcadia will be the first locations for the photo shoot. Their locations, dates and times are as follows:

22 May 2010
  • 9:30am - Sodus - Veteran’s Memorial at the Post Office on Main St.
  • 10:30 - Galen - War Memorial in the village park
  • 11:30 - Lyons - Service Veteran’s memorial in village park
  • 12:30 - Arcadia - War Memorial in the Newark village park
The times for the rest of the towns in the county will be released shortly.

All interested military veterans who have not already called the Museum and who would like to be in the calendar should call (315) 946-4943 or email laevans@waynehistory.org.

The goal is to have as many veterans from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine, WACS, WAVES as possible in each picture, and from the various towns across Wayne County. At this time vets are still needed to be in the picture for Butler, Galen, Macedon, Ontario & Rose.

  1. Anonymous Said,

Try contacting the Town Supervisors of these places who might know of veterans within their towns and who might respond positively to a personal request to have their pictures taken. Also, perhaps pictures could be taken in these places if they have Memorial Day ceremonies.
