Pultneyville Homecoming Festival

The Williamson High School French Club is sponsoring the 2nd annual Captains and Sailors 5K Walk / Race. This race is Saturday, July 21, 2012 beginning at 7:45AM for walkers and 8:05AM for runners held in connection with the 55th annual Pultneyville Homecoming festivities. The race will begin and end at B. Forman Park and the course will go through the hamlet of Pultneyville along Lake Ontario.

The race has a variety of age divisions and special awards will be given to the first, second, and third prize winners in each division. All participants will receive home baked goods and the first 150 entries will receive t-shirts. Overall winners will receive photographic packages from one of our sponsors, Photographic Services. There will a drawing from the participants for a few door prizes.


Some of our early sponsors are Reliant Community Credit Union, Photographic Services, Apple Country Chiropractic, Finger Lakes Roofing Company, and Young Funeral Home. The funds earned from this race help with expenses for future trips to France. ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

 The 55th Pultneyville Homecoming Festival is an annual community celebration held in Historic Pultneyville, sponsored by the Williamson-Pultneyville Historical Society. This year it will be held on Fri. July 20, Sat. July 21 & Sun. July 22, 2012. In addition to the many traditional events – a 5K race, an antique show, a parade, classic antique cars, a Gilbert & Sullivan production, an auction, a concert in Centennial park, a sunfish regatta, boat tours at the Pultneyville Yacht Club, pony rides and children’s games – this will be the first year of commemoration of the War of 1812 events. This will include re-enactments, demonstrations, and a pre-parade commemorative ceremony. The local businesses have special events as well.
