LYONS/PALMYRA: Gerald William Marr, 57, of Canal St. Palmyra, died Monday Nov. 5 at Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua. A Memorial service will be held Friday at 10:30am at Elmwood Cemetery, Rt. 14 Lyons. Memorials may be made to Humane Society of Wayne County or American Cancer Society.
Jerry was born in Lyons, son of Robert & Mary Nellis Marr. He had worked at Ultra Life Battery and did construction work. He was a life member of the VFW of Lyons and served in the Navy. He was an avid neon sign man.
Survived by his daughter, Patricia Marr Bassett of Lyons; grandson Jordan Marr; sister Patricia (Robert) Hanley of Rochester; 3 brothers Robert E. (Kathy) of Lyons, John C. (Debbie) and Thomas R. (Diane) both of Newark; aunt Mae Nellis; sister-in-law Mary Marr; nieces and nephews.
