NEWARK - Park Presbyterian Church is busily preparing for its Christmas Bazaar and Celtic Evening which is scheduled for Saturday, December 5th at the church located at 110 Maple Court, Newark.   Presbyterian Women will host the Bazaar from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with twenty vendors offering antiques, quilts, seasonal crafts, candles, American Doll accessories, jewelry, and more in our lounge area.  There will also be direct sales of Partylite Gifts, Jamberry and Tastefully Simple.

A Quilt Show will be held in the sanctuary from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.   Quilts with a theme of "Home Sweet Home" will be displayed by the Rose City Quilters and the Park Church Quilters.

Women of the church are preparing gift baskets, baked goods, vintage treasures, a children's gift booth, books, and Christmas crafts for sale in the church dining room.  Attendees will also be able to enjoy an espresso bar and pastries in the morning and a soup and salad luncheon from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The congregation looks forward to welcoming you to a Celtic Evening.   A dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. offering shepherd's pie, salad greens, applesauce, assorted breads and scones, dessert and beverage.  Dinner tickets are $7 and sold only in advance, as seating is limited.   The Christmas Ceilidh Band returns to our sanctuary in concert at 7:30 p.m.  This group of lively Celtic musicians, well known for their individual talents on Celtic instruments and vocal selections, will entertain with traditional and contemporary songs of the Celtic nations.  If you've never enjoyed a Ceilidh before...that Irish and Scottish tradition of music and fun...why not make this your first!  Kevin Angus, Pat Carey, Ben Ford, Cathy McGrath and Paul Gluchowski will be performing.   Tickets are $5 in advance, $8 at the door with youth eighteen and younger free.
