Register-ONE WEEK AWAY for the fundraising Gala night to end the 2016 Global Mural Conference The 2016 Global Mural Conference will be held at the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa in Fairport, New York and will end a week of art and murals with a fundraising Gala under the tent on September 24th. The gala will have a spray paint artist, live auction, fundraising raffle, music, food, guest speaker and view the mosaic mural. At the Gala, the murals that have been painted by artists, both domestic and international, will be on display during this culminating event. Dinner will be prepared by the chefs of Woodcliff Hotel and Spa. A special treat for Gala attendees will be an art demonstration by Damien Mitchell, a spray paint artist from Australia. He will create a spray-painted mural during the festivities for the live auction. In addition, a mosaic mural, painted by 700 students throughout New York State will be on view before it is displayed at the Strong Museum of Play and the Rochester Museum and Science Center. Guests at the Gala will be able to meet some of the mural artists, enjoy fine food, participate in a fundraising raffle and be entertained with music by Crossmolina, a folk-rock band that plays Celtic, pop, oldies and country music. Lorene Benson, Executive Director of the Cobblestone Arts and Educational Center will be the featured speaker at this event. Part of the proceeds from the Gala will benefit the Cobblestone Art Center. The Gala will begin at 6:00 P.M. with cocktails, and dinner will be served at 7:00 P. M.
