Erie Canal in Macedon, NY
Dear Friends,

My, oh my it has been a really hot summer! I do hope that many have taken advantage of our beautiful local waterway, the Canal and shared its intent to inspire our lives. Last night we had a family picnic in the Village of Macedon's Canal Park. Such a lovely, cool place at the picnic table under the old tree - and the boating and fishing, Great! Caught a picture of the sunset over the newly evolving Butterfly Trail, so thought I would add that to a little story that came to me out of the blue yesterday. From the Heart of Para-Deys Acres' Serenity Chapel - a peaceful place in the woods, please take care of one another. It IS a time of dramatic change upon the planet, and it is also a time when friends and families truly can make a difference in their lives and the lives of others. Kindness still counts!

MELIKIA AND THE SOFTLY BLOWING WINDS

Once upon a time, as all good stories start, there was a little girl named Melikia. She loved to walk in the woods, and always took her dog Mushka along with her. Though she found joy in her journey, she also knew that there were others who were facing hard times in her village.

One day Melikia found a little blue stone along the pathway. As she picked it up, it began to sing to her - not in the way that people sing, but in the humming of vibration which made her hand sort of quiver and her heart stand still. Naturally, she was afraid. But as she began to feel these vibrations, she knew and understood that this stone - this lovely, aqua blue stone would make a difference in her life. From that day forward, she began to smile more often. She began to feel the joy of recovering some of her own special place - her place in the woods where the rabbits roamed, and all of the little chipmunks used to wait until she passed before gathering in their little secret places. The eagles flew overhead, dipping their wings to her as they flew through the skies. The squirrels scampered ahead of her, teasing her with their mouths filled with crunchy nuts. She was at home in her woods. She was especially at home when she fell asleep under the large oak tree. It was then that she was enveloped in the grace of her own special dream place - a place where fairies dwelled, and lovely, lovely stones of beauty and strength made safe the path she was walking. She recognized these stones as part of her natural heritage in the dream place of her choice. Colors of the rainbow drifted around her, and the reality of her pure life was almost more than she could bear.

Awakening with a hungry tummy, she remembered that Grandma Ootsie had biscuits in the oven. It was then that she reached for her aqua blue stone, realizing that some day - somewhere she would know more about this stone - and when it was her time to be blessed in her family, she would continue the walk that her loved ones before had walked - and the value of her knowledge would be beyond compare.

Today she walks in light - a beautiful light that is a forever gift. She walks in the Light of Christ shining down upon everyone she meets, and the wonder of this story is that she became a nurse - and in the caring for others, she learned to use her strengths for good and life became very, very good for her. She kept her little stone in her pocket wherever she went, and when the going got tough, and her life became more scrambled than she liked - she touched her stone. Shining in the darkness, it gave her peace of mind and loving the place it had in a little girl's heart, it, too, found joy!

"JOY COMES IN THE MORNING" to all who carry a stone of peace in their hearts, and a rock of hope in their vision of perfection. Melikia had awakened to a new world within her spirit, and the soft / blowing winds of eternal grace continued to touch her life. In parallel ways, she made it through the storms - and in parallel ways she discerned that good would continue to be her blessings because she knew - beyond a shadow of a doubt, that she was safe and secure in the world of her choice - the world of extensive reality where the colors were everlasting, and the joy was expediently beautiful - so beautiful that she could not see the deep sorrows that had so crushingly surrounded her in times gone past. The parallel world was an extensive world of hope. Never again would she be alone, and never again would she refuse to help others find their way home to a secure place in the sun of blessed release where the expansion of her life counted on her ability to help others help themselves.

Kindness radiated from her being, and because of this she found value in everything she did.

Now it's your turn to find your stone, or something very special which has great meaning to you. Touched by the Light of Love, you will ALWAYS find a place a peace in your heart. Sharing this with others is your key to tranquility - and hope - and JOY!
